Plant Milk Graders' (PMG) Training Program
Ontario Dairy Council’s (ODC) Plant Milk Graders’ (PMG) Training Program and PMG Refresher Program are recognized by the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Agribusiness (OMAFA) as the official training programs for Plant Milk Graders. Regulation 761 under The Milk Act states that only certified Plant Milk Graders have the authority to accept or reject raw milk at the plant.
PMG certificates are valid for up to 5 years. Prior to a PMG certificate expiring, individuals are required to take a PMG refresher program through ODC to renew their certificate.
Upon successful completion of the PMG training (full training program or refresher program), you will receive a “Proof of Passing Examination” letter. You will then be required to apply for your certificate from OMAFA online and share this “Proof of Examination” letter with them to receive your new or renewed PMG certificate.
